A documentary by Þorfinn Guðnason about the first year of a foal's life in Icelandic nature. The film is structured as a dramatic story where the horses themselves are the main characters and we get to know each other's qualities and moods: the mare Kolka, the stallions who fight for her attention and Birta, the little foal she travels with through the wilderness of Iceland.
