Description
Established in 1930, SAR in Grindavik commemorated its 90th anniversary not long ago, having rescued 233 lives from maritime disasters since its inception.
As an entirely volunteer-driven organization, SAR plays a crucial role in delivering essential public services to local communities. These services encompass sea and mountain rescues, clearing blocked roads during icy and snowy conditions, imparting safety education to children, and more.

"Neydarkall" is an annual fund raising for all units of ICE-SAR. 2010 year´s figure was a member of the search and rescue team holding a child.
The ICE-SAR search and rescue team was the first to arrive on-site in Haiti after the terrible earthquake in January 2010.
